Twin disk brake GSX 1100 G

Hi,
I'm italian, I can't speak german...so I dont know if you are talked about this somwhere else. I'd like to improove the vx800's breake system, by using a gsx 1100 g front fork-weel-brake system. is it possible?

If it's your only aim to improve the break system you can use the fork from a CBR1000, too. The description of the change you can find here:

Hi, thanks for the link, interesting! but I'dont like to change the color of the wheel and the fork is black...
Should be cool to change the gsx 1100 g fork..any idea?the problem is found one...

Well, what's the problem by painting the new wheel in the colour of your favour? Think that would be the lower hurdle than finding the one and special fork in your preferred colouring.

The diameter of die VX-800-fork is different to the diameter of the GSX-1100-G fork. This means, that you have change the Topbridge and the Stearing Stem too. Take a look at the Frontframe of the two Bikes, if the height is the same and also the bearings, you will have the best-braking-VX ever seen!

I dont'find the mesures... could you find the fork diameter of vx and gsx? I see many german's sites...

so, I found a gsx's fork at 300 euros.. but what's the diameter of the steering? are u sure that's different?

Yes. Look at the last topic from Hans Friedrich. You have to change the complete fork! And You need also the front master zylinder (breake) from the gsx, for two disks.

cool! your vx is cool! but the front wheel isnt a 18"...so is not regular!? it's 17"? from how does it come for?

The VX still not ride because of the brake system...(I need to fix the caliper's pistons)
